Kathryn Parsley earned her Bachelors and Master's degrees in Operatic Vocal Performance at Baylor University and is currently working on her Doctorate at Texas Tech University. She has been featured in Texas Tech University’s production of Turn of the Screw as The Governess and Le Nozze di Figaro as La Contessa. She also sang with the Midwest Opera Institute in their production of Dialogue of the Carmelites as the New Prioress. She will be premiering a new opera in New York City with librettist Aiden Feltkamp. Ms. Parsley has a passion for new music; participating in the premier of the opera “Guadalupe, Our Lady of the Roses” by James DeMars, lecturing on new music by Judith Cloud, and showcasing music from new or underrepresented composers as often as she can.
Currently she is on the voice faculty at University of Texas Permian Basin in Odessa, TX.
